A black-tie optional dress code gives guests a couple of formal options to choose from. Men are requested to wear a tuxedo, but can opt for a dark suit. Women can choose either a formal evening gown or a shorter cocktail dress

No! There will be enough time to go from the church back home (if you are local) or to the hotel to change before cocktail hour. The church will end around 3:30p and the cocktail hour does not start until 6:30p. If you are not wearing you formal wear please dress appropriately for the chruch ceremony. This means men in slacks and a polo or button down and women in pants or an appropriate length dress or skirt (slightly above the knee is fine but please no mini-skirts). Women must also have a sweater or shawl to cover their shoulders if their top leave them bare. Thank you for your understanding!
