I love telling our story on how we met. We didnt know at the time, but two years after working together the summer of 2016 at Stop and Shop Patrick would be liking an all about me status of mine on Facebook in winter of 2018 and Id be reaching out to him.
When we worked together in the produce dept. it was probably my first week there on the early melon bar shift. I remember it so vividly how he asked if I wanted one of those Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches he bought. If anyone knows me or the foundation of our relationship it is that we love food and cant say no!
Anyway, he was shocked to say the least. It was one of those instances where you offer something to someone to be nice. I accepted the sandwich and we shared that little moment together.
As the summer went on, hed toss grapes at me in the back room or other various small produce, and playfully pick on me in passing. However, at the time we were both in other relationships.
It was entering my spring semester of sophomore year at Rhode Island College in 2018 that we only started talking again after he liked that post. We hit it off so quickly, before I knew it the following weekend hed be on his way up to RIC to have our first date.
I love that I was able to share the college life with him. On the morning of March 18, 2018 after a long St. Patricks night of partying he asked me to be his girlfriend. And here we are!
