How We Met

Ally and Nicholas met at Nikanos. Ally went in with a friend of hers for a girls night out. Nicholas was the server/bartender as they were sitting at the high tops. As they first met during covid, Nicholas was wearing a mask. Ally could only see the top part of his face. She ordered a Santorini Seaside (iykyk). When Nicholas brought it over, he told Ally the struggle he just went through to make it- breaking glasses and spilling things. They chatted while the girls were at Nikanos, eventually telling Nicholas they work at Five-O together. The following week, Nicholas and his friend came in to the restaurant she worked at. They sat at the bar with Ally. She didn’t recognize him right away because he wasn’t wearing a mask. After that, he came in for the next 6 weeks trying to get her attention. Ally finally gave him her number because she was interested in the day time bartender position that he had available at Nikanos. The rest is history In January 2025, they traveled to Paris after visiting London for the New Years with their friends. On their first day in Paris, Ally was so exhausted. She would’ve slept all day, but Nicholas told her they had tickets to go up to the Eiffel Tower. She was just excited he planned the day and she didn’t have too! Turns out they didn’t have tickets to up to the tower it was his way of getting her there so he could propose! Together they have two cats, Nike and Loki. They enjoy golfing, the beach, and traveling, as well as nights in together watching a movie. They are also looking forward to building their future.

The Microtel and Best Western are starred on the map, we do not have room blocks there but they are local hotels near the venue. There are other hotels, as well as airbnbs in the area as well.

Directions to York Golf and Tennis from the Highway and onto RT 1:

1. Travel north on I-95 (Maine Turnpike) toward York.2. Take Exit 7 (York / Ogunquit) from I-953. At the end of the ramp, and the first set of lights, take a right onto US RT 1 South4. After passing the Irvining, take a left onto York Street5. Take a right onto Organug Road, follow signs for Middle School6. Follow Organug Road until you arrive at 62 Organug Rd, the York Golf &amp; Tennis Club

Directions to York Golf and Tennis from The Anchorage Inn

1. Take a left out of The Anchorage Inn2. Turn left onto Ridge Road, which becomes Long Sands Road closer to town3. At the intersection in York Village, keep left.4. Take a right onto Organug Road and follow until you arrive at 62 Organug Rd, the York Golf and Tennis.

Travel & Stay

See the iconic lighthouse of York, ME! Go at sunrise or sunset or visit during the day and have a snack at Foxes or ice cream at Dunnes right near by

In the heart of downtown York, there’s a little bit of history. The old school house, the old gaol house and few other buildings!

Visit Wiggly bridge, York’s iconic bridge in town. Walk the trail loop, you can continue your walk along York harbor by taking fisherman’s path to harbor beach! Or start at harbor beach and walk to wiggly bridge.

Did you know there are three beaches along route 1 in York?! Harbor beach, long sands beach and short sands. Long sands and harbor beach are the best for a beach day. If you want to visit stores and get salt water taffy visit short sands!

There are many art galleries in York and Oguqnuit! Some of them are hidden so keep your eyes open! 

Art Galleries 

Just a 10-15 minute drive from York, there’s a cute little town of Ogunquit. The beach is amazing, with the ocean or river side. There’s also a wonderful walkway along the rocky shore, marginal way. Reach out and ask us how to get there!

Nicholas’ favorite hobby. Play a round at Cape Neddick County Club or Ledges, both are open to the public. Make sure to ask Nicholas and Alexandra if they wanna play a round or hit a few balls at the driving range! 

Golf 

A wonderful spot for lunch or dinner! Open Monday-Sunday for dinner this time of year and for lunches Saturday and brunch Sunday!

I have food allergies, can I make a special request? Yes! There will be a spot during RSVP for you to let us know your allergies, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Are kids welcomed? While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adult only celebration.

Can I bring a date?We wish we could invite everyone! If your invitation doesn’t list a “+ guest,” we ask that you come solo. We promise there will be plenty of familiar faces, food, and fun — thank you for understanding!
