Mike Middlebrooks
Mike Middlebrooks - Groomsman
From Matt: No one could ask for a better son than Mike. We have been through thick and thin in the past 15 years. I am so grateful for all the time we get to spend together, whether it's watching movies, eating wings, going to the gym, or playing laser tag. Mike has dealt with the trials of Army life without complaint, showing resiliency and the ability to make friends no matter where he is. I am so proud to be his Dad.
Lyndi Dix
Lyndi Dix - Bridesmaid
From Al: Lyndi was my roommate at West Point, but so much more than just a roommate. She always looked out for me and was an amazing friend. One of our only arguments was the thermostat, with her being from Oklahoma. Over time, Lyndi's family became my second family. She was there for me during my first seizure and traveled for my commissioning a year later. I was honored to be a bridesmaid at her wedding, and we got to have dinner together when we chanced to be in Iraq at the same time. I am so grateful to have had her in my life as a constant friend and sister for the past 14 years.
Frank Wilson
Frank Wilson - Groomsman
From Matt: Frank has been a staple in my life for the past 18 years, ever since we met in the Army and made sure we had the same job. We have remained like brothers throughout ups and downs, moving, changing jobs, and life challenges. Frank has always been there for me, whether in person or ready to catch up on the phone. I am so grateful he is able to travel all the way from Alaska for the wedding.
Abby Black
Abby Black - Bridesmaid
From Al: Abby and I met during Basic Officer Course at Fort Sill, OK in 2016. We became friends quickly, once we realized we were both from the north (she is from Minnesota) and both interested in buying really crappy houses. Abby helped me remove the carpet in my house (as she said, we could have "built a cat" with all the cat hair), and together we learned how to install LVP through trial and error. Abby became my emergency contact after a seizure car accident; she drove me to and from work in the days after that and brought me chocolate milk and apple fritters. She is an amazing person and friend who always makes life better and happier.
