It was Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, when Ali got out of work early and decided to head to her favorite lake for a solo hike and swim at Harriman State Park. George, who had taken the week off, set out on a solo mountain bike ride to the very same spot—the one they both ironically called “their spot.”

By sheer coincidence, they arrived at the lake at the same time. They struck up a conversation and quickly discovered they had so much in common, even realizing they had both been at the same concert just a few days before. Ali, who’s never been shy, asked George for his number and suggested they hike together sometime. George didn’t hesitate to take her up on that opportunity and just two days later they hiked together. The rest was history. Their meeting felt nothing short of serendipitous, and both knew without a doubt that they were meant to cross paths that day.

Since then, Ali and George have shared countless adventures, moved in together, and just before Christmas in 2024, George asked Ali to marry him on top of a mountain—the same way they met.

They are thrilled to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends on December 13th!
