Dan's friends didn't think "holding fish pics" were the best for attracting girls, so they took him shopping for clothes and took some pictures for his profile. Alex and Dan started by messaging each other via Hinge dating app while Dan was visiting his friends in Hamilton Ontario. Alex and Dan finally decided to meet up for their first date at the Salute Coffee Company at the South End location. It seemed we had some miscommunication in our conversations on which Salute to go to because Alex drove to the Kingsway location while Dan went to the South End location. This little mishap helped Dan break the ice a lot easier when he met Alex for the first time. His first words to Alex were "I thought you were supposed to be on time, you're a teacher!". Their first date resulted in them talking to each other, learning about each other for hours, 4 hours to be exact. We arrived there at 1pm, closed the place, and continued our date while standing in front of our vehicles. After the date, Alex proceeded to call her mother to tell her how the date went. Her mother was absolutely shocked that Dan managed to land a second date, this made it clear that Alex must really like this guy. It didn't take very many more dates for them to realize that they had something special, and the rest is history.
