Picture this: 16-year-old-Allie cashiers at the local Rite-Aid pharmacy as a part-time high school job. She quickly befriends the loveliest Diana Hapach, a regular customer who stops in to prints pictures, at least thrice weekly. After several months of friendly conversation at the photo kiosk, Di gushes that Allie should "really meet [her] son!" as she is SO confident they would just hit it off. Allie politely laughs and declines the offer – she can't think of anything more uncomfortable than dating her favorite customer's son. The years pass and Allie finds herself still at the local Rite-Aid where she looks forward to Di's regular visits. Di continues to be persistent, and assures her that she and Nick would, "simply make a wonderful couple." Allie continues to turn her usual shade of crimson, and laugh nervously at these comments.In the summer of approximately 2015, Di surprises Allie at the pharmacy counter but she is not alone. She is with a very tall man with very long hair. It still is unknown as to who turned redder, faster, but the bets are on Allie. Nick and Allie, both undermined by the sweetest Diana were finally forced to meet in person, after years of hearing about the other. Stunned by one another, they......shook hands over the pharmacy counter. To this day, neither have experienced something so painfully awkward.Somehow, two years after the most uncomfortable handshake documented in human history, Di in her seamless matchmaking ways, managed to convince Allie and Nick to go on a date. Numbers were exchanged and excited tears were shed in the local Panera Bread. On Sunday August 6th, 2017, Nick, in his fanciest graphic t-shirt, appeared not a second late to their very casual drinks-on-the-patio first date, in South Side's finest apartment complex. There they sat, for upwards of eight hours, under haphazardly hung string-lights, talking about anything and everything, over some Jameson. And, in the most cliche of ways, the rest was history. Approximately 4 years and 4 apartments later, Nick proposed to Allie on December 24th, 2021, in their humble apartment on the ORB with the shiniest and sparkliest ring, strapped to their cat's collar. After forty-five minutes of happy sobbing, Allie of course said yes! &nbsp;Allie and Nick couldn’t be happier to marry the other and couldn’t be more appreciative that you’ve made it this far in their story! You’re one hell of a person – probably why you made the invite list!
