The start of a new school year turned into the start of so much more. Sitting there in a bar (the lovely Satterfields), I kept telling my friends that I knew the guy sitting across the bar, I went to high school with him and being the jerks they were they called me out and made me talk to him. Well, that moment ended up changing the rest of my life!

I used to think people were crazy falling in love so fast but as the cliché saying goes, when you know you know. In that moment I knew he was something special, what I didn’t know was how utterly deeply in love I would fall with him! Within weeks the talking phase moved to the dating phase (with me asking him out multiple times before finally going on our first official date since you know he had baby showers to attend instead of going see a movie with me), to feeling like I had known this man my entire life!

It's funny how they tell you that you don’t truly know love until you meet the one. That it will make every crush, date, previous partner feel completely irrelevant. That the broken girl you once were will go back to her natural hair, wear less makeup, wear more pink, fall in love with Christmas again, and to be honest that’s all true. Being excited for each holiday, every simple moment, everything is better because each moment is spent with you.
