On November 14th 2019 Colin and Ally officially started dating. Things took a turn when the COVID pandemic began and students had to return home for the remainder of the semester. Colin moved back home to Maryland and Ally returned home to Texas through the summer. After daily FaceTime calls, they couldn’t wait to get back into the same state. The next school year Colin accepted a position as an assistant coach for the lacrosse team and Ally finished her last year of nursing school. Once Ally graduated she accepted a nursing position in Baltimore and once again they were long distance but this time much closer.

In June 2023 Ally moved back to Philadelphia to move in with Colin. Ally began a new position as a postpartum nurse at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Colin also had a new role as the head coach for Eastern’s lacrosse team. Shortly after moving in together, Ally decided to apply for a kitten without fully telling Colin (who was still fighting for a dog). Rex joined our family a few weeks later. He is a wild guy who loves to cuddle, play fetch, and of course a good cardboard box to sit in. This year we have added another boy to the mix Charlie. He brings the energy to the house hold being an adorable puppy who loves chasing his brother Rex.

Finally!! Ally and Colin planned a trip to France with Colin’s younger sister. On June 6th 2024 after a walk (a hike if you ask Ally) up to Mont Boron, overlooking Nice, France, Colin got down on one knee and asked Ally to marry him. It was the most special day that we will always cherish.

Now almost 5 years together, so many amazing memories full of love and laughter. We are counting down the days to our wedding and we cannot wait for this next chapter.
