There will be a charter bus that will be picking guests up at The Hampton hotel on Flagler Avenue starting around 3:30 PM and will take a couple of trips to get everyone there. The bus will then be returning guests to the hotel after the wedding, around 10 PM.

Our Wedding

Alex and Michael's story started way before Alex even remembers. Michael moved Alex into her freshman dorm at FAU back in 2011 and little did he know he would marry her 11 years later. Even after moving Alex into her dorm, they didn't talk again for another year or so. For the first 3 years of their relationship they were just good friends who were in the same circle at FAU. In 2014, they realized that their friendship had grown into something more. On Cinco de Mayo of 2014, over margaritas at Night Owl, their love story truly began. Once graduating in 2015, they moved to Tampa, FL for about 3 years and have now settled in Orlando, FL where Alex grew up. They will have been together for 8 years by the time their wedding day comes and they are both so excited to start this next chapter in their lives. They can't wait to celebrate their marriage with you all in 2022! Get ready for a great party and a great weekend!

There will be a charter bus that will take guests to and from the Hampton Inn on Flagler Avenue to the wedding venue. The shuttles will start at 3:30 PM and will come back and forth for all guests to get to The Mulberry for the 4:30 PM ceremony. They will also be returning all guests from The Mulberry to the Hampton Inn at the end of the night.

Day of Wedding Transportation - Apollo's Chariots

This is where the bride and groom will be staying for those that wish to join them. The Hampton Inn is less than a mile from the beach and on the main street, Flagler Avenue, in New Smyrna Beach. Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. If you are planning to come on Thursday night, it is also walking distance from our Welcome Happy Hour at The Bounty.

The SpringHill is right on New Smyrna Beach. This hotel is also located on the main street, Flagler Avenue, and is walking distance to the shops, bars and restaurants, as well. Instead of a room block, the SpringHill is providing a 15% discount on any standard room with 2 queen beds or 1 king. The minimum for the 15% discount is a 3 night stay. If you plan to be in town for the Welcome Happy Hour at The Bounty, this hotel is also walking distance.

We do not have a room block at The Riverview, but this hotel has a bed and breakfast type of feel. It is located on the intercoastal and also on the main street, Flagler Avenue.

We do not have a room block at Ocean Eleven Suites, but they are new boutique style suites. About a 5 minute drive distance from Flagler Avenue.

For those flying into Florida for the wedding, Orlando International Airport is the closest major airport. It is located about an hour away from New Smyrna Beach.

Daytona International is a smaller airport in the area. Not many major airlines fly in and out of this airport but worth a shot to check! This airport is about 30 minutes from New Smyrna Beach.

Travel

Chase's is where you will most likely find the bride and groom the day after the wedding! This beach bar has a great atmosphere, view of the water and food/drinks. Chase's is about a 5 minute drive from Flagler Avenue.

One of the most popular/oldest restaurants in New Smyrna Beach. You can pull up a bar stool and enjoy a view of the beach from your seat. The Breakers is also walking distance from all hotels.

Outriggers has a great view of the water and even better drinks and food! Located right on Flagler Avenue, walking distance from all hotels.

One of the biggest staples of the New Smyrna Beach area. Amazing Italian food and atmosphere. Please note that this restaurant is only first come, first serve, and do not take reservations.

The Garlic

The Canal Street Historic District is just a short drive from Flagler Avenue. Canal is filled with restaurants, bars, breweries, shops and entertainment. Parking is free if you want to jump in the car and experience Canal Street!

For those that want to enjoy the Florida weather on the water, you can rent a pontoon from Sanddollar Charters and head over to Disappearing Island for the day!
