Alex's Story of Us

We met in one of the darkest moments in each of our lives and instantly felt connected. We started as friends but quickly became something so much more. From day one, we couldn't stay away from each other and the more time we spent together, the more our love grew. It wasn't more than 4 months before we attended a friend's wedding together and Kevin first told me he wanted to marry me. It was a moment I will never forget.

We moved in together after 4 and half months together and every step just felt so natural with him, like it was meant to be. I had never lived with anyone other than family yet we blended together so well and through small trivial topics, we found a way to build our apartment into a real home that I am grateful to come to every night.

When Kevin proposed, it wasn't a surprise. We both knew we wanted to spend our lives with only each other and he reminded me of it so often. When the day came, I just felt warm and happy. When he got down on one knee, holding that little box and smiling so big and excited, I couldn't say anything other than yes. The surprise came when he brought me to his family's house and we walked in to both our families and friends to congratulate us the next step to our new and bright future. It was magical and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

The adventures and the hardships and the progress we have made since May 18, 2024 have strengthened our relationship so much. Kevin is so helpful and supportive, even if he doesn't always understand how I think or what I am feeling. He is so good at making me feel wanted and important.

I want nothing but to love, support, and stand by Kevin as we navigate through this life together. I cannot wait to call myself a Kerrigan and have a long, happy, challenging, wonderful life with Kevin and our future family together.
