Alexandria and Joseph first met in college at Ferris State University. Alexandria first caught Joseph's eye at a Ferris State University hockey game while sitting in the student section. Alexandria was too scared and nervous to go up to Joseph at the game where he was working, so her friend went up and got his number for her instead. Later that night, Alexandria and Joseph had their first date and became inseparable.

Throughout their relationship, Alexandria and Joseph have made many memories including adventuring to the U.P. with their golden retriever, attending Detroit Red Wings hockey games, annual pumpkin patch dates, graduating from college, moving to another state, and tropical vacations.

Joseph proposed to Alexandria five years later up north at his grandma's cabin while they were on a walk with their golden retriever, Abe. Needless to say, Alexandria said yes and they went back to the cabin and celebrated with Joseph's family.
