Our Wedding

Our love story began with a roll of tape and a sprained ankle in Hampden-Sydney, VA. Wesley was Alex's student-athlete when she studied athletic training in undergrad. Wesley had multiple options to choose from for his Athletic Trainer of choice but he always chose Alex; which hasn't changed, he still chooses her every single day. This love story started as friends in the training room and then eventually a conversation over social media and then finally a first date in 2018. Alex and Wes' love started with many miles in between and so many road trips until Alex joined him in Richmond in 2021. Now they live happily in Richmond with their sweet Goldendoodle, Peach, who is their entire world.

Lindsay is the friendship Alex did not know she needed when she needed it the most. In the last 5 years, Alex has seen God do incredible things in their friendship. They have survived moves, losing their sweet grandmothers, holidays, boy drama, school, and starting and ending so many new phases of life. She is the first person Alex thinks of when she has joy to share and the first person she thinks of when she needs a little joy in her life. Linds fits in with Alex's family like she has been here all along. Alex is so thankful the waves of life brought Linds her way and even more thankful she stayed beyond the tides that roll. She truly can’t think of anyone else she’d want to stand next to her on this journey and their wedding day.

Brittany is Alex's incredible sister and she can not thank God enough for allowing their stars to be aligned the way they did. No matter what life has thrown their way, their sisterhood always prevails. From riding bikes on Shearingham to watching Matilda every single day to making Brittany ramen noodles to sharing a bed and showering together for way too long to riding around in the subie to graduations to new houses to new relationships to weddings and now babies; Britt has been such a constant friend, confidant, therapist, and sister. When Alex thinks of most of her childhood memories they contain Brittany and that can never be replaced.

Adriana is Alex's baby sister and loves her more than words could ever suffice. Although Alex is the big sister, Adri teaches Alex about life over and over.  Adri is the definition of a ride or die. Even as the little sister, Adri makes Alex feel safe and seen. Adri is fun, loud, honest, stunning, and truly one of the strongest human beings Alex knows.

Hannah is Alex's first friend since the age of 3, Hannah has literally been in every chapter of Alex's life. Hannah is the reason Alex loves band, basketball, volleyball, working out, movies, and more. But Alex really loved those things because it meant she got to spend more time with Hannah and now all those things remind her of her and all their greatest memories including accepting Christ together. Alex can’t imagine her wedding without her best friend by her side.

Iesha is one of Alex's best friends and their friendship has truly outlasted all the storms and all the tides of life. Iesha is such a light in any room she is in, always laughing and smiling. Her kindness and softness are contagious and Alex never takes that for granted. Alex can’t imagine not having Iesha's contagious energy beside her on her wedding day!
