Reception

Directions to Ceremony:The ceremony will be held at St. Michaels Church in Pawcatuck, CT. Directions to the location include taking exit 92 on I-95 (North or South) and going south on Route 2 toward downtown Pawcatuck. St. Michaels Church will be on your right-hand side with access to the parking lot being either on Morgan St or Route 2. Directions to Reception:The reception will be held at Kingdom of the Hawk in North Stonington, CT. This is a 5–10 minute drive from St. Michaels Church. Take Route 2 toward Norwich and proceed to follow until reaching your third stop light (in front of Dunkin' Donuts). You will proceed to take a right onto Route 49 and continuing going until you go underneath the overpass for I-95 North and South. Kingdom of the Hawk will be on your left shortly after that. For those not attending the Ceremony you will be getting off of Exit 92 North or Exit 92 South on I-95. For those coming from I-95 North simply turn right onto Route 49 and Kingdom of the Hawk will be on your left. Those coming from I-95 South will take a left off the exit and proceed to the first light following the overpass at which point you will take a right hand turn onto Frontage Road and proceed to the next stop light. There you will take a left onto Route 49 and Kingdom of the Hawk will be on your left hand side.

Our Story 

It turns out that sometimes, love is just a few soft pretzels away! Even though we went to the same high school, we didn’t actually know each other. Ally graduated a year before Josh (she’s sooo much older… a whole 2½ months), and our paths never crossed. Years later, fate… and a dating app… finally brought us together! Our first date was at The Malted Barley in Providence, where we instantly bonded over our shared love of pretzels. What was meant to be a simple bite turned into a spontaneous all-day adventure, complete with a 45-minute car ride and Josh’s first-ever espresso martini at Perks and Corks! Since then, life together has been filled with laughter, inside jokes, friendly roasting, and a shared love of travel! We’ve explored Costa Rica, Ireland, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Montreal, Quebec City, and lots of places closer to home like Maine, Vermont, Florida and even the Kentucky Derby and away Canes games. Every trip brings us closer together and gives us new memories to laugh about! One of our favorite moments? A quiet evening on the beach in Algarve, Portugal, when Josh got down on one knee and asked Ally to marry him! He pulled off quite the surprise! Now, we’re getting ready for our greatest adventure yet and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Just don’t be surprised if there are soft pretzels involved!

Matron of Honor & Best Man 

As Ally’s older sister by one year, they have been competing since day one: who was smarter, better at sports, or in charge? Ally was honored to be her Maid of Honor eight years ago, so now it’s only fair that Jen returns the favor. She’s traveling all the way from Birmingham, Alabama to be by Ally’s side, always just a phone call away if needed, and there’s no one else Ally would rather have on her big day!

Jayson, Josh’s brother and best friend, may be 12 years younger, but the two are inseparable. Jay has been hanging out with Josh’s friends since he was a kid (sometimes even “stealing” them). Sharing a love for the same sports teams, they’ve traveled up and down the East Coast to watch the Carolina Hurricanes together. Always goofing off, wrestling, or gaming, Josh and Jayson are the perfect example of blood being thicker than water, which is why Josh is honored to have Jayson as his best man on one of the most important days of his life!

Bridesmaids 

Claudia has been Ally’s best friend since they met in 6th grade, and they’ve been through every stage of life together from growing up and graduating high school, to big girl jobs, backpacking through Europe, marriage, and watching Claudia become an amazing mom. There’s no way Ally could celebrate this day without her by her side!

Gabby, Josh’s sister, has been kind and welcoming to Ally from the very first day they met. The two share a common goal: teaming up to lovingly make fun of her brother. Ally can’t wait to officially become family and is so excited to have Gabby by her side on such an important day!

Ally met Lauren during her first year of teaching, and she’s been a constant ever since. Lauren is always a listening ear, the go-to proofreader for resumes and essays, and the ultimate food-sharing partner at dinner. She makes Ally’s life better in every way and will need to find another cat sitter because she’ll be too busy celebrating all weekend by Ally’s side!

Logan and Ally have been inseparable since college, starting as roommates and somehow landing their first teaching jobs together. After countless girls trips, adventures, and memories, she’s become family. Logan is Ally’s ride-or-die friend and always has the most honest advice. Ally can’t imagine this day without her by her side, she’s been there for it all!

Groomsmen 

Josh and Bennett didn’t meet through school or family, but through mutual friends and their bond started years ago at Josh’s uncle’s Christmas Eve. Their friendship has been filled with laughter, late-night fun, and gaming on X-box. Bennett even became close with Josh’s brother, Jayson. While the “good times” may have slowed down, their friendship hasn’t. Josh couldn’t imagine anyone better to have by his side on his wedding day, someone he can always count on!

Derek, or “D”, is the older brother Josh never had. Their families became friends when their moms were nurses. Growing up, Derek has always been a protector and close companion. After a few years apart, they reunited at a concert tailgate (memorably with Derek riding in the back of an ice cream truck) and have stayed close ever since. They share countless memories, especially during fall hunting trips. Josh's lucky to have him standing beside him on this special day!

Josh and Hank didn’t meet until high school, but their friendship took off in a criminal justice class at Waterford High. They quickly became inseparable from partying together, sharing a love of the Red Sox, and even dedicating a month to playoff baseball in 2021. From sleepovers on Josh’s “very comfortable” couch to Oktoberfest in Munich, Hank has been a constant friend Josh can always rely on, which is why he’ll be by his side on the wedding day!

Josh and Jon are some of the closest friends you could imagine. Josh has always relied on Jon, whether for advice in the middle of the night or support in tough times. They’ve shared countless memories, from football games at Gillette Stadium and Red Sox games at Fenway to watching the game at the Brown Derby. Best friends, confidants, and the ultimate drinking buddies, Josh is honored to have Jon by his side on his wedding day!

Flower Girls 

Anna and Ella are Ally’s adorable nieces and flower girls. Anna, a sassy 3 year old, loves visiting giraffes at the zoo and knows how to make a grand entrance. Little sister Ella, 1, is learning the ropes from Anna, always smiling and going with the flow. These two love to dress up and match, so watch out for some serious cuteness when they strut down the aisle together!

Things to Do In-between the Ceremony & Reception: 

Downtown Westerly (Westerly, RI)The main area of Westerly and minutes from the Church. A sleepy little downtown alongside the Pawcatuck River that splits Connecticut and Rhode Island. Great place to go walking and stop in some local shops. There are a few very good restaurants to stop in for a drink include:- Perks and Corks: A martini bar that serves over the top martinis (bride and groom stopped here on their first date)- Café: This is a staple for the bride and groom. Offering both good cocktails and food this is a frequented place that they visit- Pooches Porch: A sports bar that offers good “bar food” and cheaper drinks Mystic (Groton, CT)Located 20 minutes from the Wedding Venue Mystic offers many different options for riverside restaurants and bars. Shopping at bouquets is plentiful. Recommended restaurants and bars include:- Engine Room: Bride and Grooms personal favorite. This is their go to brunch spot on Sunday and the bride recommends to get an Old Fashion with extra cherries!- Friar Tucks: Pub that offers good priced drinks and a younger generation type of atmosphere- Milestone: This is a frequent stop for the bride and groom and often find themselves drinking espresso martinis and miller highlife- Sift Bake Shop: Home to all your cookies and baked goods you could want- ATY: A hole in the wall spot in the downtown Mystic area, this is a great place for martinis and chocolate. The groom would recommend the Pistachio Martini- Harp &amp; Hound – Irish pub that offers cheap drinks
