How we met:

Alexandria and Thomas crossed paths during High school, the first thing Alexandria noticed about Thomas, wasn’t his brilliant blue eyes or his smile but rather his unique laugh. Sitting in Senior year English she realized she had heard that laugh two years before, during her first year at a new school, from her friends phone, she forgot all about that laugh until she heard it again in person. Even though she recognized his laugh Alexandria was painfully shy & did not say anything to Thomas directly until half way through the year when he approached her.

Thomas & Alexandria’s blossoming friendship wasn’t traditional in the sense that it didn’t come from bonding over liking the same things but rather silly arguments about their differences: Thomas loved dogs growing up while Alexandria has always been a cat person. Thomas prefers video games while Alexandria would rather play card games with family. If Thomas is found reading it will be a book on finance where as Allie tends to read novels. Despite their differences they built a solid relationship which has spawned over a decade.

Our proposal story:

Thomas had plans to propose to Alexandria the week before Christmas in 2019, she promptly ruined these plans by informing Thomas she could not go out of state because her family would be visiting that weekend. Alexandria unknowningly ruining her own proposal was a trend that would continue for awhile.

After discussing getting a pet & visiting shelters during the weekends on February 29th 2020 Thomas & Alexandria adopted their first pet, an elder cat named Harper. As the Pandemic worsened Thomas & Alexandria were happy they had a pet to keep them company. Harper loves to play with Thomas she also enjoys watching The Mandalorian and sleeping next to Alexandria's head at night.

As the world came out of the shutdown Thomas once again began planning his proposal, meanwhile oblivious Alexandria kept ruining his plans by insisting she could not possibly take time off from work, because of several weddings that had been postponed from covid that they would be attending the following year. Thomas finally convinced her take time off right before Christmas & was able to propose on top of the Sierra Nevadas on 12/21/21 surrounded by a stunning snowy landscape.

We are so excited to start this new chapter together & celebrate our love with the people we love the most! (Minus Harper who is terrified of the outdoors)
