Their first date was at Egan and Sons in Montclair, NJ—equal parts cozy and chaotic, thanks to first-date nerves and the typical bar buzz. Andrew, the up-and-coming lawyer freshly planted in Montclair, showed up charming and slightly overdressed. Alex, juggling grad school at Seton Hall like a champ, brought wit, warmth, and a quiet suspicion that this might actually be something. Spoiler alert: it was something. Through long phone calls, Netflix marathons, and enough cups of coffee to fuel a small nation, they built something steady. Between Andrew’s legal briefs and Alex’s thesis deadlines, they made time for laughter, late-night takeout, and inside jokes that no one else would understand (and let’s be honest—probably shouldn’t).
