Our Wedding

Elsie and Allie began working together at Newberry Elementary in 2023. Around Christmas time, the 3rd grade team went out for dinner together to celebrate. While on the topic who could we set Allie up with, Elsie exclaimed that she had a brother who was single, and had moved to Gainesville a few months ago. The coworkers thought he sounded perfect for Allie. Nick came to school twice to help out Elsie in her classroom, and came with the team to lunch the second visit, which had given Nick and Allie a chance to talk a little bit more.

How We Met

A common line dancing bar ... Elsie invited Allie and Amanda out with her one night, saying Nick would be there and we should come to get Allie talking to him more. Amanda could not come, but Allie decided to go. As Elsie was killing it on the dance floor, Allie and Nick spent the whole night talking and getting to know one another.

VIVID

The following week after talking at Vivid, Nick asked Allie out. Allie accepted, and they went on a perfect first date. They met up at Depot Park, walked the walking trail several times, and stopped at a burger restaurant on the premises for tater tots (Nick's favorite) and French fries (Allie's favorite). Then, not wanting the date to end, they went to a different trail not far from there, and waded through a creek to search for shark's teeth.

First Date

On the 8th date at Celebration Pointe, they enjoyed dinner and walking around outside (a common favorite activity). Then Nick officially asked Allie to be his girlfriend in front of the Bass Pro Shops - perfect!

Over the year since the first date, the couple grew closer as they talked about everything under the sun - dreams, future hopes, pasts, religion, communication, etc. There were lots of amazing trips to places such as Cedar Key, St. Augustine, Maryland, Fort Pierce, and Illinois. They love nature trails, watching movies, sweet treats, spending time together, and helping one another out. Exactly one year later, on April 20th, they returned to place they had their first date and Nick proposed. Shout out to Elsie and their roommate Jess for hiding in the bushes to take pictures!

After the ceremony, we are providing transportation via motorcoach from the Aloft Hotel to the Rustic Oaks reception venue.&nbsp;It is an approx. 35 minute drive from the hotel or ceremony site to the reception site. Expect the motorcoach(es) to leave the hotel at 4pm to head to the reception, and leave the reception around 9pm after the Bride and Groom's exit to head back to the hotel.
