Approximately 90 km / 1.5 hours by car. This is the most convenient option during summer months with seasonal international flights.


🚌Bus Option: KTEL Messinias operates a daily bus service from Kalamata to Pyrgos. The journey takes about 2.5 hours and costs between €11–14.


🏖️Touristic Highlights: Kalamata is a charming coastal city known for its beautiful beaches, such as the Blue Flag-certified Kalamata Beach and cultural sites like the Kalamata Castle. It’s a great place to relax and explore before or after the wedding.

If you’re flying into Zakynthos International Airport (ZTH), it’s totally possible to reach Pyrgos and it’s a great chance to combine the wedding with a relaxing island getaway!


Take a ferry from Zakynthos to Kyllini (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes).

From Kyllini, Pyrgos is about a 1-hour drive (Public transport available)

🌙 Please note: You’ll need to stay the night in Pyrgos or Katakolo after the wedding to avoid overnight travelling.

By bus: Daily KTEL buses from KTEL Kifisou Station (~5 hours)



🚌 From the airport to Kifisou Station:

Take Bus X93 (direct, ~1 hour) or a taxi (~40 mins).

⛴ Ferry to Kyllini

Take the ferry from Poros, Kefalonia to Kyllini on the mainland (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes).

From Kyllini, Pyrgos is about a 45-minute drive. Public transport is available, but car rental or a pre-booked transfer is more convenient.
