We first met on the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Leonard J. Cowley. Thomas was already onboard as a Navigation cadet and I freshly joined as a Steward. The vessel was bound for the Arctic where there was some memories made. I thought Thomas was the funniest guy and Thomas really liked when I played poker in a low cut shirt.

After our trip on the CCGS Leonard J. Cowley, I knew I wanted to see more of Thomas so I basically tricked him into a first date! I told him a group of friends was doing an escape room and we needed 1 more. He agreed and I picked him up. Little did he know when we got there it would just be the two of us! So basically, I locked him in a room with me for two hours and I guess he enjoyed himself because here we are :)

We continued to date and then eventually move into our first apartment together. I worked my way up in Coast Guard and Thomas finished school which meant him leaving for long periods of time on work terms. It was always hard to see him go but it made our relationship even stronger!

We eventually got around to meeting each others families and friends. Thomas would visit my little gentle island of PEI.

I finally got the opportunity to see beautiful Bewdley Ontario. Bill and Carrie were so welcoming to me and we had the most amazing adventures. Our trip of the entire Trent-Severn Waterway is defiantly marked as one of the best summers I've had!

Thomas left for the longest work term yet for a total of 5 months during the pandemic and travelled the world. We would keep in contact best we could and I counted the days until he returned home. When he did I didn't know I would be met with Tom Hanks from Castaway!

We've come a long way in the last 5 years together. As I finish up my Logistics Officer certification and Thomas continues to work as a Navigation Officer with Coast Guard, the future is so bright for us!

Summer 2022 will forever be the most memorable and incredible experience. At the Kingston Mill Lock Station just down from Kingston Ontario, where my parents got engaged. The love of my life asked me to marry him in the most beautiful spot I could think of! Of course I had been waiting for this day so it was the biggest YES I've ever given. I can't wait for our big day surrounded by close friends and family :) All your love and support has gotten us to this point in our lives and we thank you for it!
