Our Wedding

The first time I met Noah was freshman year of high school. Did we talk? Not even a little bit. At 14 and 15, we were VERY different people and had no interest in making each other known. Fast forward to high school graduation, and we were sat directly next to each other at the ceremony! You would think that we would have to talk then, after this many years of being in close proximity... Yet again, no conversation. June 2024, we attended our brothers' 8th grade celebration, who happen to be the best of friends, and I saw this tall, dark, curly haired cowboy and was immediately shocked to figure out it was the same Noah I knew all through high school! I ran to my cousin and pointed him out and expressed how cute I thought he was. Apparently, to my surprise, Noah felt the same way in return. The next day, Noah DM'd me on Instagram, and started a conversation by sending a picture of our brother's at the graduation. It then spiraled into hobbies, career paths, our hearts for the Lord, and the desires and dreams we carry in ministry. 1 week of no communication later, as I landed in Texas, a notification popped up on my phone from Noah, asking me to go out to coffee if I was interested. I began to panic! The cute guy from the celebration asked to go out with ME?! I left him on delivered for about 12 hours, and after consulting my family friends in Texas, I told him I would pray about it. 3 days later, after thinking about this Noah guy every minute of everyday, and even dreaming about it, I felt the Lord's peace so strongly, and knew I needed to go on a date with him. When I got back from Texas, we started texting everyday, and not long after, went on our first date. Noah picked me up at my parents' house, meeting the entire family, and drove us to Relevant Coffee, where we sat for 3 hours, not running out of a single thing to talk about. After drinking about 2 sips of coffee total from yapping so much, we decided to go walk around the Saturday Market. While we were walking around downtown, a very important moment stuck with me. I had told the Lord that when I found the man I would marry, I wanted it to be so evident, with no hesitation. I was not wasting my time! As we walked down the side walk, he moved to the side of the road where the cars were, and I heard the still small voice of the Lord whisper to me, "this is it." I kept walking, filled with so much gratitude and kept my composure, not wanting to scare off Noah from the very beginning! A few weeks later, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history! I cannot wait to marry the man the Lord placed before me!

Alexis' Perspective

Well, as far as first impressions go, I couldn’t tell you! We first met in our 1st years of high school, and even with us sitting next to each other at graduation, I couldn’t tell you the 1st thing about her. So I’ll skip to the good stuff. We reconnected at our younger brother’s middle school graduation, the same place and school I had graduated 9 years prior! Being familiar with her family throughout the years, and even teaching/coaching Dawson years prior in martial arts I was talking and catching up with them, and lo and behold, I found myself in quite possibly the shortest conversation known to man with Alexis. My immediate thought was “wow she is pretty, and way out of my league”. And didn’t pay much mind to it. The next day, not being able to shake her in the back of my head, I DM’d her on Instagram (real classy, I know) and we ended up talking non-stop for a few weeks. I eventually found the courage to ask her to get coffee. And a few weeks after that, I asked her to be my girlfriend. I knew she was one the Lord had set aside for me when during our date, she pulled us aside to minister and breathe life to a homeless man she had prayed over in the past. The Lord spoke to me then - “this is it”. I cant wait for this next season. The Lord is so providing, and so evident in our lives and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
