We met at a church event in Maryland the summer before eighth grade. Carson was messing around with a friend of mine, and being a twelve year old girl, I wanted to get him back. Throwing any sense of common sense, etiquette, or caution to the wind, I splashed lemonade back in his face back after chasing him around my church pavilion. Thankfully, he let that mean act go! From then until now, our relationship continues to have a playful sense of joy through outdoor activities like volleyball, walking, running, and frisbee.
