Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Okay... stay with me on this one.

One winter night, way back in 2020, I (Lexi) received a text message from a friend about a friend who just happened to be this good-looking (and single) cop. The Cowboy Cop, as some might call him ;) Long story short, she asked me if I would be interested in meeting him. And I mean, a man with a badge? Yeah, I was interested.

And so began the phone calls. I remember sitting on the couch at my mom's house in the middle of the night, watching my phone light up between his calls at work. "Hang on, I'll call you back," over and over and over again. Our first date- no other than Chick-fil-A and the tailgate of his truck (after bragging about his great driving and almost getting us smacked by a car...). When he brought me home, he helped me blanket the horses- a TRUE gentleman. At that point, I just knew this was going to work. Noah... well, he still needed some convincing. Apparently, fun college girls aren't a good look for our cop friends or whatever.

But, if you know anything about me, you know that I am quite persistent. It took a while (years, actually), but after some convincing, Noah finally made his move. And boy, am I glad he did. All that hard work finally paid off! Perseverance, guys, perseverance.

Seriously though, I give him a hard time, but he truly is the best, and I am SO excited to get to call him my future husband.

After she decided to start enjoying the better things in life, AKA me (Noah), it wasn't long before we realized that we had something special. She would always ask questions about my work life to keep me talking while I kept feeding her to keep her coming back. I picked her up from her Nana's house for our first date and have gotten to create several other memories there since.

Things continued to progress, and over time, we created a strong bond. We both found each other at a time that only God could have orchestrated. The time came, and I decided to ask her to marry me. I tried to be smart and trick her into planning her own engagement, but as we all know, women love to take their time. She said yes, and I entered the world of being wrong at more things than I knew I could be wrong at.

As much as we poke and play, we are best friends getting ready to do this thing called life. We have long-term plans, short-term plans, and Hail Mary's, but I'm glad that we get to do it together.
