What are the options for food for the wedding?
Food will be a Lowcountry Buffet style! We will have a Lowcountry Boil (which includes shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, etc). We'll also have many appetizers & salad options, and other sides as well! More information to come!
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
We know quite a few of our guests have kids of all ages, and the wedding is right across the street from two kid friendly parks, Martin Family Park and Dubois Park. We are more than happy to have you bring your kiddos! We just ask that you specify in your RSVP and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Is there parking at the Ceremony and Reception?
Yes, there's ample parking near Heyward House and around the parks within Old Town Bluffton. There's less parking near the ceremony at Wright Family Park. It's recommended to park near Heyward House and we will have golf cart shuttles to help take guests back and forth!
Where should we stay?
First, thank you for looking into your trip, we are so excited to see everyone soon! Second, there's a tab on this site with a few local options in Bluffton to stay at during your stay. Overall, we recommend looking at VRBO and Air BNB as many people rent out short term rentals now in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island (15 minute drive) and Savannah (25 minute drive) that are more reasonable in price and have more amenities!
Also, please note the Town of Hilton Head's major golf tournament, Heritage, is scheduled for this same weekend, so the sooner you book the better as it will fill up on the Island fairly quickly.
Can you tell us about Cocktail Hour?
We understand this is an important question that doesn't always get answered before a wedding. After the ceremony, we plan to have an open bar cocktail hour and just ask that you bring some cash to tip your bartender!
