Our Wedding

Alexis had to serve that day at Windsong Farm Golf Club, Jake was working in the bag room. Jake was picking up one of the golf pros and asked if Alexis wanted a ride to the clubhouse. Jake sparked a conversation with Alexis by asking her name, where she's from and where she goes to college at. Jake and Alexis had a short interaction but at the end of the ride Jake said he hoped to see Alexis around and that's exactly what happened. Since May 26, 2022, Alexis and Jake have never stopped talking together.

They met on Thursday, May 26, 2022

Alexis invited Jake over to her family home in Becker on June 1, 2022. They went to the city park and went hammocking for a little bit and sat in two hammocks. Then they went to Alexis' sister's softball game, where Alexis unintentionally had Jake meet all of Alexis' family. After the game, they went and got dinner at Chow in Elk River and ended their night at the Big Lake park and hammocked together again by the lake, watching the sunset. (This is the VERY FIRST photo they took together!)

They hung out for the first time on Wednesday, June 1, 2022

They both worked that day at the golf club but after work they went to Red Sauce Rebellion in Excelsior. After dinner, they got ice cream and walked around Lake Minnetonka a bit and ended up sitting on a bench and watched the boats. Alexis had thought that was where Jake would ask her but he did not. After their walk, they went back to “The Point” at Jake's grandparents home. Jake had made a nice bed in the back of his truck and they watched the stars and looked out onto the lake. Jake had asked Alexis if she had any worries about them being together or the fact that they're going to college. Alexis had none and neither did Jake. They knew they were meant to be together. “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers was playing when Jake had asked.

They became official on Friday, June 24, 2022

That Sunday morning, Jake had suggested they went on a walk and then to lunch. Jake tried to rush Alexis into getting ready and leaving and Alexis did not understand why. When Jake and Alexis got to Diamond Point Park in Bemidji, MN they did their normal walk route. Alexis thought she had seen a photographer but quickly dismissed it as she thought it was for someone else. They stopped at the point of the park and looked out to the lake. Jake then started to tell Alexis he loved her and he didn't want to keep being so far from each other. Jake had asked if Alexis knew what was happening and Alexis immediately said yes. Jake then pulled out a box and got down on one knee. After the excitement, Jake turned Alexis around and showed Alexis the photographer. Jake then explained he had asked the photographer to come to the park at 12 pm. Alexis had no idea she would be getting engaged that day. Alexis and Jake then started to take some photos together. Afterwards Alexis and Jake called their families then went to lunch to celebrate.

They got engaged on Sunday, May 5, 2024

Jake and Alexis welcomed their sweet baby girl, June on Easter Sunday in 2025. She is an adorable chocolate lab that they have been waiting for what seemed like forever. June represents Alexis and Jake's entire relationship and is their favorite month (hence the name June). They cannot wait for you all to meet her and have her celebrate with us! &lt;3
