Our Wedding

Our story began in a pretty modern way—on an online dating app. Funny enough, we both created our profiles on the very same day. While scrolling through potential matches, we eventually came across each other, and that one swipe changed everything.We started chatting and quickly realized texting wasn’t enough, so we moved to phone calls. Before long, it felt natural—easy, exciting, and full of laughter. We decided it was time to meet in person. At the time, we were both attending Ventura College. One day, as one of us was leaving campus and the other was arriving for class, we finally met face to face. That first meeting made one thing clear: we definitely wanted to see each other again.Our first official date was simple and classic—a movie. We saw a Marvel film, and while the movie itself may not stand out anymore, the beginning of our journey together certainly does. Afterward, we went our separate ways, already looking forward to the next time we’d meet.Not long after, we went to see another movie (probably another Marvel one—neither of us remembers exactly which). But during that movie, something special happened. Cody slowly put his arm around me. At first, I hesitated, but then I leaned in—and just like that, everything felt right.As time went on, we spent more time together and started sharing our worlds. I introduced Cody to line dancing at Borderline, a place I had been going with friends. Watching him try to two-step—with what can only be described as two left feet—was both hilarious and incredibly sweet. We laughed, gave it our best try, and eventually decided we were better off just hanging out, playing pool, and enjoying each other’s company.One night after dancing, Cody drove me home. We sat in his truck, listening to good music and talking, not wanting the night to end. Moments like those—simple, comfortable, and full of connection—became the foundation of our relationship.After a few dates, I decided it was time to ask the question. I texted Cody and told him I thought we should make it official. He agreed, and becoming boyfriend and girlfriend turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made.From a swipe on a screen to building a life together, our love story has been full of laughter, music, and unforgettable moments—and we can’t wait to continue this journey as husband and wife.
