Hudson and Alexis’s story began the first week of freshman year at Dallas Baptist University. It all started when Alexis and her roommate went to church, Northway, with her brother-in-law’s brother who happened to bring along his friend, Hudson. From this moment, the two quickly became very good friends and a love story began unfolding without them even knowing! Through the beginning years of college, Hudson and Alexis would go on numerous adventures around Dallas. The two would find any excuse to spend time together whether it was coffee runs, going to the grocery store, getting gas together, going to the Porch at Watermark, or whatever else would come up. Hudson and Alexis bonded, spending many late nights together working on group accounting projects which was a relationship that would grow much deeper.&nbsp; Halfway through sophomore year, Alexis developed feelings for Hudson but wanted to wait and pray for clarity from the Lord. Alexis wanted to test her feelings for Hudson by asking him to her sorority formal, Snowflake, and see if any sparks would develop. When the formal finally came, Alexis had realized her feelings for Hudson were more than just a friendship. Early in the night, Alexis pulled her best friend, Lauren Moyers, into the bathroom to admit her feelings and asked for advice.&nbsp; From this point, Alexis dropped not-so-subtle hints to Hudson that he claims he was blissfully unaware of. One day, after talking to all of her housemates and friends, Alexis got the courage to talk to Hudson to tell him her feelings. When she finally blurted out “Hudson, I like you” he responded with “Alexis, I have liked you from the day I met you”. Alexis often says that the Holy Spirit opened her eyes one day, and she has known he was the one ever since. If you know her well, you would know that when she has her mind made up there is no stopping her. Hudson, determined to pursue Alexis properly, spontaneously asked her out on their first official date. Just around a month later, he asked her to be his girlfriend, and they have been inseparable ever since. The two now attend Northway Church together, a place that serves as a beautiful reminder of how their story began. Their relationship has not only deepened their love for each other but has also strengthened their faith. With the Lord at the center of their journey, Hudson and Alexis are excited to continue building a life together, grounded in love, friendship, and unwavering faith.
