James and Alexis' love story began on social media, where they had been following each other for years. James, always the gentleman, frequently asked Alexis out on dates. However, Alexis thought he was way too nice and used too many emojis, so she always declined.

Everything changed on Valentine’s Day in 2021. Alexis, feeling a spark of curiosity, decided to ask James out for a date. Unfortunately, James was in Colorado with his friends that weekend, so their first meeting had to wait.

A week later, on February 21, 2021, they met at BoomerJack’s in Fort Worth for a few drinks. The moment they saw each other, it was as if the universe had aligned perfectly. Love at first sight was not just a cliché for them; it was their reality. James looked at Alexis and said, "We look cute together," a sentiment Alexis wholeheartedly agreed with.

The restaurant was too crowded, so they decided to head to 7th Street in downtown Fort Worth. There, they found a cozy spot, shared drinks, and talked for hours. Their connection was undeniable, and they sealed the night with their first kiss in a photobooth—a moment captured forever in a strip of pictures, and a tradition they now continue on every anniversary.

That night, Alexis went home and told her mom, Lori, that she had just met her husband. Despite their instant connection, they separated for a few months but rekindled their relationship in October of 2021. From that moment on, James and Alexis were practically inseparable. James introduced Alexis to his family as his future wife, solidifying their love and commitment to each other.

James eventually met Alexis's 1-year-old son, Jackson, who almost immediately became attached to James, even calling him Dad. They later went on to have their own child, Bentley, in September of 2022.

Living in a small condo in Fort Worth, they quickly outgrew the space and moved to a bigger house in Granbury to accommodate their growing family. After finding more work opportunities in Fort Worth, they headed back to the city, where they now reside with their two sons and French Bulldog named Elvis.
