“I’m thinking we could do brunch next Saturday? Have you ever been to Babalu for brunch?”

In December of 2019, Jay was attending his company's annual Christmas Party and just happened to strike up a conversation with Alexis' former boss. Her boss suggested that they meet each other. Sure enough, a week later they met at Babalu for brunch.

The first date was made for television. Jay is very prompt and was 15 minutes early, and Alexis was about 30 minutes late. They exchanged an awkward handshake and made their way to the table. Despite the awkward start, they quickly realized they both loved to talk and quickly bonded over their love of food, family and traveling.

When they met in December of 2019, they had no idea the changes that were coming. They found love in each other through a global pandemic, Alexis' law school journey, substantial career changes for Jay, and much more. They also managed to excel and succeed in their endeavors and never missed a beat on traveling, dining out, and spending time with friends.

Fast forwarding to today, they've bought their first home and are preparing to move forward with the next chapter and looking forward to everything coming their way. The best is yet to come!!!
