What should I wear?

We've created a look book to inspire your outfits! https://shorturl.at/lytqz

What events are taking place over the wedding weekend?

Welcome Party — Friday, August 29 An evening of Southern hospitality featuring a fish fry to welcome our beloved guests. Traditional Igbo Wedding — Saturday, August 30 A vibrant celebration honoring Nigerian culture, family, and heritage through music, dance, and ceremony. White Wedding Ceremony & Reception — Sunday, August 31 A formal ceremony followed by an elegant reception to honor our union.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Children are welcome at the Friday Welcome Party and Saturday’s Traditional Wedding. Sunday’s White Wedding Ceremony and Reception will be an adults-only event. Please let us know if you children will be attending.

What time should I arrive for each event?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before each scheduled start time. Event details and location information can be found in your formal invitation.

Where should I stay?

We’ve secured room blocks at several hotels in Savannah. Please visit the “Travel” page on our website for accommodation options and booking links.

I’ve never attended a Traditional Nigerian Wedding—what should I expect?

Expect joy, culture, and lots of dancing! The Igbankwu is the traditional Igbo marriage ceremony where families formally bless the union. A beloved tradition includes “money spraying,” where guests show love and celebration by dancing and offering cash gifts to the couple.

Will food and drinks be served at every event?

Yes. From fresh seafood and jollof rice to curated cocktails and desserts, every event will feature delicious food that celebrates both of our cultures.

Where are you registered?

If you'd like to contribute to our new chapter, you’ll find our registry linked on the “Registry” page.
