This story truly starts with our grandfathers. Anthony Johncola Sr. and Anthony Campione Sr. were neighbors and friends. To each other, they were "Anthony" whereas to friends and family they were both referred to as "Tony." They shared many friends and enjoyed each other's company at A.C. Auto, the Campione family business. These two patriarchs had a longstanding friendship making their families acquaintances.
Fast forward to 2016 when the Johncola family became some of AC Auto's best customers. At this point all the Johncola kids were driving and in need of much maintenance of their old cars.
Every time Alexis visited A.C. Auto, Mr. Campione would spark conversation about "his son" who would love to take her out to dinner. As she left, Mr. Campione would haggle said son to "take Mike's daughter out."
After many frequent visits to A.C. Auto, in the summer of 2018, Alexis and Carmen finally met. It was late night chocolate chip pancakes at the diner on York street... and the rest is history.
Alexis and Carmen have spent countless Sunday dinners at the Campione household. Enjoyed traveling to different places in the U.S. and abroad, and enjoyed endless dinners together.
On our 6th dating anniversary, July 31st, 2024, Carmen surprised Alexis with a beautiful proposal at sunset on the beach.
We were brought together by our families and held together by our shared faith and unconditional love for each other.
Interesting family ties from before we ever met;
Grandmom Johncola rode on the shuttle to work that was driven by Mr. Campione. Later, Alexis' mom rode on that same shuttle (before Pam and Mike Johncola ever dated)!
Carmen's Uncle Lou was Mike Johncola's Captain in the police department.
