Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by Thursday, April 18th.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the wedding is formal. Tuxedos are optional.

Where is the ceremony taking place?

The ceremony will be taking place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The church is located less than 5 minutes from both hotels.

Where is the reception taking place?

The reception is taking place at the Dayton Art Institute. This is less than a 7 minute drive from the ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and is within 5 minutes from both hotels.

Will there be an open bar during the reception?

There will be an open bar at the cocktail hour and first few hours of the reception. The bar will be switching to a cash bar around 8/8:30 pm. The bartenders will be able to take cards as well as cash.

Will there be time between the ceremony and reception?

There will be some time between the end of the ceremony and beginning of cocktail hour at the Dayton Art Institute. The great thing about Dayton is it is a smaller city and everything is pretty close together. The location of both hotels sit nearby the Dayton Dragons minor league baseball stadium and are surrounded by several bars and restaurants. There are several new restaurants that have been recently added and are within walking distance of both hotels. Also, we have rented out the Dayton Art Institute for the whole day so all of our guests are able to take a tour of the museum at their leisure if they would like. The museum will close to the public at 5pm and the lower galleries will also be closed to our guests at this time.

Is there parking located at the church and the art institute?

Both venues have their own dedicated parking lots that are free to park at so there should not be an issue finding a spot to park.

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Is there a hotel block booked for the wedding?

We have two hotel blocks at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot on Monument Avenue and at the AC Hotel by Marriot on Madison Street. Both hotels are less than 7 minutes away from the ceremony venue and reception venue. Please mention the Jolley Javelov wedding when making your reservation. The AC hotel does have a two night minimum stay. Please see travel section on our website for booking links and more information.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

There will be both food and drinks during cocktail hour. There will be an assortment of meats and cheeses as well as a variety of passed bites being served during the cocktail hour. There will be a bar located at the cocktail hour you can order drinks at.

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel, or to and from the ceremony and reception location?

We are only providing transportation for the bridal party. Each guest will be responsible to provide their own transportation to each venue. All places (Church, Art Institute and both hotels ) are less than 10 minutes from each other overall so you can drive or also use an Uber. The church and Dayton Art Institute have their own dedicated parking lot so there should be plenty of available spots to park in.
