If you ask Mike and Alexis the question "how did you two meet?" you'll get two different stories. The truth is... Mike has been going to No Bull Training for 15+ years and so has Dennis, Alexis's brother-in-law. Mike, Dennis, and Kim (Alexis's sister) knew each other long before Mike and Alexis met. The two of them met one day when Kim brought Alexis for a Saturday morning workout. Kim thought it was a great idea to try to set the two of them up in front of the whole gym which embarrassed Alexis at the time. (This is the part where Mike will tell you Alexis shut him down... but she technically didn't.)

The two of them briefly spoke about their jobs as nurses and then parted ways that day. Kim was constantly in Alexis's ear about Mike since that day... so much so that Alexis ended up stalking Mike on Facebook and adding him as a friend, thinking that was a big enough hint that she was interested. A few months later, Mike started clicking "like" on Alexis's Facebook stories, so she made a game of it by "liking" his profile pictures one by one each time he would like a story. Being that Mike does not really use social media, his profile picture was from somewhere around 2015 and he barely had any content to keep the game up much longer, so Alexis was getting close to breaking the ice herself by messaging him, but luckily, Mike finally got the hint and started the conversation. (This is the part where Mike will tell you he didn't realize Alexis was trying to give him a hint because he doesn't know how to use social media.)

About a week or two later, Mike made the trip up to Long Island where Alexis was living at the time. They spent a full weekend together, followed by practically every weekend together, then moved in together 3 months later and the rest is history.
