Our story begins on a rainy day in November, 2018. Two people were swiping on a dating app, clueless that their lives were about to change forever. Michael matched with a cute girl with curly hair and a beautiful smile, talked for a bit, and sent her a goofy music video he was sure she would find weird. To his surprise, she liked it, and he felt himself falling a little bit in love that day as her wit and intelligence stole his heart. Alexis found herself talking to a nerdy but handsome and devilishly funny man with smart glasses and a penchant for history. A few dates and a New Years kiss worthy of a Hallmark movie later, the two would begin a journey that would take them here, now.

Their relationship seemed to be fated. They met at exactly the right time, and discovered that their lives intersected in so many ways it beggared belief. A picture of Michael with Alexis' aunt in pre-school, family ties along the bayou, and finding out that he grew up less than a mile from her grandfather's house are only a few of the strange coincidences that told these two they were meant for each other. A weird little gremlin cat named Harold, a shared love of cooking and board games, and a love was born that is strong and capable of mounting all obstacles put in its way.
