THE SWIPE THAT WENT RIGHT!
Russ and Alexis met on an online dating app called Bumble. For Russ, he always knew he would find his wife on Bumble. For Alexis, Bumble was just a fun way to meet new people. On an evening at her grandma's house in Shelby, NC, Alexis swiped right on Russ. What was meant to be a casual dinner at Optimist Hall ended up being the beginning of their love story. Russ and Alexis spent their time traveling and sightseeing. While they thought each other was the one, it was not until their one-year anniversary pictures that they knew they wanted to get married.
Their first year consisted of Russ buying a house and experiencing Panama City for the first time. The second year consisted of Alexis becoming a travel nurse, and Russ moving to Greenville,SC. After a couple of months, it became very evident that the next best step for the couple was for Alexis to move to Greenville. On July 1st, the couple started building their home in their favorite city.
On a beautiful sunny day in April, Russ decided to take Alexis to a fancy dinner. Little did she know, her dreams were about to come true. After a dinner filled with blue cheese filet mignon, stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes, and a wedge salad, Russ started speaking beautiful words to Alexis. At Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, with a table that overlooked Falls Park, Russ got on one knee and asked Alexis to marry him. The couple is so excited to experience their special day with you, as they soldify their love with the covenant of marriage before God.
