Jake and I first met in 2018 while I was living out of state and home visiting for the weekend. I did not think much of it at the time other than that he was a nice guy. (I would later find out that he told both my mom and dad that he thought I was cute). Fast forward to a few months later when I ended up moving home to Ohio. With a little encouragement from my mom, Jake and I went out on our first date. We decided to keep it causal and meet at The Firehouse for drinks, what I thought would be an hour or two occasion lasted until 12 am (on a Monday)! We talked and laughed for hours realizing how much we had in common and how much fun we had together. A few weeks later we decided to go on a cabin trip with mutual friends (who knew this would end up being the cabin that we got engaged at). After this everything else was history! Since then, we have traveled together, bought a house together, survived quarantine together, and added two adorable Yorkie pups to our family. We are both so excited to start this new chapter together and thankful to have the support of our family and friends!
