Our Wedding

Lockdown, weird arrows in the grocery store and very few restaurants open. Adam and Alexis’s love story truly blossomed during an interesting time. Many don't know that we were long distance for the first year and half of the relationship. Most time spent together was on the weekends Saturday evening to Sunday. Alexis was thoroughly involved in her career as a horse trainer in Kernersville, NC and Adam was a personal trainer in Charlotte, NC. Most evenings in the beginning of our relationship were spent on the phone, Adams first question was always, "tell me something good". From there it evolved to each of us coming up with five in depth questions to ask each other. It was during this time that we learned so much about each other.Sunday mornings were always spent at a new coffee shop or breakfast spot talking about the week ahead and learning new music to listen too. One thing we collectively learned is that we both&nbsp;LOVED fall. Fall drinks, hikes, the weather we did all the fall things. One fall evening before Adam left to drive home he leaned down to give Alexis a hug and said I love you, Alexis literally SCREAMED with joy and said "omg i wanted to say it so bad. I love you too. The back and forth became a lot and we decided it was time to make the leap so Alexis moved to Charlotte with Dolce of course, and they became the happiest little family.&nbsp;Fast forward to three years later they started planning their amazing trip to England and Paris (Adam is originally from London). So much excitement and Alexis had her heart set on visiting Chatsworth estate the fictional home of Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. They visited multiple stately homes during their time in the english countryside and decided to hike from Haddon Hall to Chatsworth one beautiful afternoon.Funny this was a 6 mile hike through fields, woods and a lot of mud they had no idea what they were getting into. Looking back Adam was acting quite silly he kept stopping and looking around and Alexis kept hurrying him along to walk faster. Alexis never knew Adam had knelt down behind her several times but being the fast walker she is, Alexis just kept moving not even thinking twice taking in the beautiful scenery. Once over the horizon and out of the woods they saw the beautiful Chatsworth Estate. While walking they saw so many lambs and pheasants but Alexis so desperately wanted to see the beautiful stag that inhabited the property. Finally like fate Alexis saw them and squealed with joy for Adam to look. As Alexis turned around Adam was on one knee with a beautiful hand carved box that was originally a small tree knob that Alexis found on one of their previous hike in NC, asking Alexis to marry him and without hesitation she said YES, a thousand times, YES.

What is the dress code?We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day! The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear cocktail dresses, maxi, or tea length. Men are encouraged to wear suits with ties. Are kids allowed?Yes, we would love you all to bring your tiny humans, the more the merrier. What time should I arrive?The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to park and find your seat. Please remember travel time, as the venue is in the mountains up winding roads. Parking will be at the front of the property you will be able to walk or take a golf cart to the ceremony space. Will there be food at the wedding?There will be hearty hors d'oeuvres following the ceremony.&nbsp; STRICTLY NO SMOKING ON PREMISES!!
