We first met when we were 12 and 10 when Nick and Alexis’ brother, Christopher, became friends. We both had moved into the same neighborhood, attended school together, and shared similar friends (Alexis’ friends had older brothers that were also friends with Nick).

Even though we grew up together, we only began dating after high school. In fact, the first four years of our relationship were spent four hours apart while Alexis was at college in Virginia.

After jumping into a crazy housing market, we found a home to settle into and got engaged shortly thereafter.
