How Justin and I met was not your average typical way of meeting the love of your life. Both of us were looking for a relationship during what we thought was wrong time, but ended up being the right time! We met on a dating website called Hinge. The slogan for the website is "The website that is meant to be deleted." In our case, that was true!! We met in January 2021 and that was the start of a new beginning for the both of us. Our first date was riding around in his new truck and going to Kobe to eat Sushi and get to know each other. If you ask Justin, it was more of me getting to know Justin. I was very shy, which will be shocking to others, but not knowing where this would lead us, I didn't know what to say or do. Fast forward to later that night, I had the feeling that I should hold his hand while he was driving to take me home. I was not wanting to make this weird or awkward, so I just kept my hand in my lap. We got to my house and he walked me to the front door and hugged me good night and home he went. I felt like that was going to be the last time I saw him because I didn't make that move to hold his hand. Later on that night, I get a message from Justin on Snapchat and we were just texting back and forth. I then had to tell him how I really felt. I did tell him that while he was driving me home, I wanted to hold his hand, but couldn't figure out a way to do it without it being awkward. That was the best thing I could have ever said because if I didn't we would be here today if it was up to Justin. He didn't think that I was interested, but little did he know I was definitely interested. Fast forward a month and here comes Valentines Day and also my birthday. On Valentines Day, I got this message that I was not expecting and it was Justin asking me to be his girlfriend. And of course I said yes!! That's were it all started!!! Fast forward three years, our three year anniversary came around and Justin told me to take off work for February 16th because he was going to take me on a surprised trip! When he meant surprised he meant it. My mom had to help me pack because he wouldn't even tell me where we were going. Friday February 16th, we left to go on this surprised trip around 10 o'clock that morning and it was a 5 hour drive!! I had stuff to keep my mind occupied, but that was a LONG drive and it was definitely worth it!! Fast forward about 6 hours. We arrive to the Airbnb and Justin told me to go ahead and get ready and we will go get something to eat. So, I got ready and we left the house about 5:30 pm to go find something to eat. As he was driving, the nosey girlfriend that I am, I start noticing we passed 2 signs that said " The Pretty Place Chapel." Then we came upon a third sign and I couldn't hold it in any longer. I finally asked Justin " Where are we going? To church?" He followed with we are taking a detour to this place where I want to get pictures at. If you know Justin, you know that pictures aren't his thing and he likes to live in the moment. We walk down to the chapel and all I see is a red carpet with rose petals and a Marry Me sign at the end of the aisle. I look at him and he said come this way. In my head I was like "Dang. I thought it was going to be my turn." Little did I know, my turn was coming. Apparently, after it was all said and done, we had walked down in the middle of another proposal that was happening. After we watched the proposal, we went back into the truck because I was cold and we were going to just wait until they got done so we can get some pictures of the place and then go eat. It was just us in the chapel after everyone left and he propped his phone on one of the stairs and had it on video. He said, "I have it on video so we can go through and screenshot pictures." Sooooo, little did I know, he was asking me to marry him and that's the whole reason for that surprised trip!!! To say I was excited is an understatement!!! We both are so happy and excited that we both get to spend the rest of our life's together!!! On May 17th, 2025, we will be making two people become one family!! We hope anyone that can join come and celebrate Justin and I as we tie the knot and get married!!!
