It was August of 2017 when I first met Brandon. I had plans to attend a car show, but it fell through, so I went shopping at target (go figure). On my way home I remembered the Pine County Derby was happening and I called Haley to see if I could join her. She said, "I'll save you a seat but you have to put up with my brother". When I arrived Haley introduced us to one another. Brandon and I had fun night of getting to know one another but we never spoke after that night.

I went back to Gustavus to begin my sophomore year and forgot about our interaction at the derby. Four months of school went by and I had J-term. I was home for a month and during that time I was working with the athletic trainers at the local high school. It was during the winter and the only sport happening was basketball. Brandon would come watch the home games and we would have a few conversations here and there after the game. It was my last weekend home and I was planning on staying in before returning to school. My friends kept bugging me to hangout and I finally caved in. Brandon snapped me while I was out with my friends and he wanted to know what I was doing for the night. I responded, "My friends and I are going to the Casino. You can join us if you want". We all met at the Casino for a crazy fun night and I went home with Brandon. The rest is history!
