There are a few local watering holes in Houghton, our favorite being the Keweenaw Brewing Company.


Take a walk through downtown Houghton enjoy the shops and the small hometown feel. Taking a walk along the pier is a favorite of ours!


Are you looking to do something outside? We recommend you enjoy the waterfront in Houghton or stopping by Portage Paddle Sports near the Kestner Waterfront Park which includes paddle board rentals, ice cream and more!


For those interested in golfing, our favorite 9 hole golf course is Wyandotte Hills in Twin Lakes, MI or 18 holes at the Portage Lake Golf Course.


One of our favorite ways to spend a day in Houghton is enjoying the water, whether it is along the Portage Canal or taking a short drive out to Lake Superior, you won't be disappointed. The summer in Houghton is Lexi's favorite time of the year, so we hope you are able to enjoy as well!
