Their journey began in 2014 at the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department. Joey and Alexis started as acquaintances working side by side. Slowly their friendship blossomed. Joey and Alexis spent many nights playing card games and getting to know each other. Of course, Alexis was always the winner. It took both of them some time to realize that what they wanted was to be together. They went on various trips from San Diego to New York to Monterey. During this time Joey realized he wanted Alexis in his life forever. Joey took his chance on June 2, 2023, and proposed to Alexis in Monterey. She said Yes! Now these two are inseparable and have many more adventures awaiting them.
