Hello Family and Friends! :)

Lucas and Alexis are so excited for everyone to come together for their big day and celebrate this amazing time in their lives!

Lucas and Alexis, grew up in different cities. Lucas grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis and went to Franklin Central High School. Alexis grew up in Connersville, IN and went to Connersville High School.

After high school, Lucas received a basketball scholarship to IU East for athletics and to pursue a degree in Biochemistry. He played all four years and went on to graduate as Valedictorian in 2018. He continued to pursue graduate education and went to medical school at Marian University, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2022. Lucas is currently a third year family medicine resident at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. He will complete residency in May 2025 and plans to stay in the Indianapolis area to practice medicine.

Alexis completed two years of prerequisites at IUPUI before applying to Dental Hygiene School. She was accepted into the Dental Hygiene program at the IU School of Dentistry/Downtown Indianapolis in 2018. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree from the program in December of 2020. Go Jags! For the last three years she has been practicing as a Dental Hygienist at Bailey and Wright Dentistry.

Lucas and Alexis met in May of 2019 through a mutual friend. Fun Fact: They met on Carb Day of the 2019 Indy 500 weekend. They continued to spend time together in group settings for the following couple of months. In July, Lucas finally asked Alexis on their first date which consisted of an Indianapolis Indians game and dinner at one of their now favorite restaurants, Yard House. They have been inseparable since!

Alexis’ dream came true on a trip to the beautiful state of Colorado in 2023. After a week full of fun adventures and hikes, Lucas proposed to Alexis on their last day of the trip, October 9th. The magical moment took place at Loveland Pass in Dillon, Colorado. It was such a surreal experience for the both of them, one they will never forget! Loveland will always hold a special place in their hearts!

They are very excited to start the journey as husband and wife in October of 2024. They are looking forward to sharing many memories on this day with the ones they love most.
