Our journey began in the Spring of 2019 on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Amidst the meaningful work, star filled skies, and wonderful people, a friendship began. It wasn’t long before Nathan was helping Alexis with homework and she was teaching him how to be patient while she cried about physics. All the while, unknown at the time, we were getting comfortable with each other's families, making memories, and forming an unbreakable bond.

By January 2020 (once Alexis was allowed to date that country boy), our bond had blossomed into a relationship. We graduated from the same high school, Nathan in 2020 and Alexis in 2022, and attended countless family, church, and community gatherings together.

College was tough since we attended different colleges at different times, but the distance and challenges never dampened our connection. Many late nights and gallons of gas have been more than worth it to see each other often and keep our love strong and growing.

In January 2024, Nathan proposed in the most sentimental way—at the park where we had spent countless hours after school getting to know each other before we started dating. This place, filled with so many cherished memories, became the perfect backdrop for the next step in our journey.

As we prepare for our wedding, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been and continues to be a part of our story.
