“Lexie, you are needed at the main office” said Mrs. Weaver. Lexie left her 7th grade social studies class to go to the office. She returned with a vase of flowers. “Who are THOSE from?” Mrs Weaver exclaimed in front of the entire class. Lexie embarrassingly responded, “Damian.”

Who would have known this small stint of a middle school crush would later turn into love. Remaining friends throughout high school, their story picked back up the summer before college. Lexie left for Xavier in Cincinnati and Damian went to Coastal Carolina. They soon found themselves FaceTiming each day until they could travel to see one another. Not feeling at home at Coastal, Damian decided to surprise Lexie and transfer to Xavier. The friends Lexie made at Xavier instantly welcomed Damian and quickly became their friends. Lexie and Damian were both raised in the small town of Greencastle, PA and later found themselves growing up together in Cincinnati, OH. Staying in Cincinnati, Damian started working at Medpace while Lexie finished her Masters degree in OT. They adopted their sweet dog, Weezie, and then moved across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio to Covington, Kentucky. Cincinnati is their home away from home where they love to host their friends and family.

Lexie has given Damian the greatest gift he could ever ask for. She has brought Damian closer to God and their love for Jesus Christ continues to bloom in their relationship. With their faith as their cornerstone, they cannot wait to be married and spend the rest of their lives together as one —starting their family and growing old together.
