Dear Family and Friends, As we prepare to step into this new chapter together, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support we’ve received along the way. Each of you has played a meaningful role in our story—whether you've known us for years or are just beginning to know us as a couple. Our wedding day is more than a celebration of our love; it’s a moment to honor the relationships that have shaped us. Your presence means more than words can express, and we truly cannot wait to share this joyful day with you. Message

Alexis and Luke’s love story began at Marietta College. Luke was a petroleum engineering student—an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha, a football player, and a pole vaulter on the track team. Alexis was studying entrepreneurship, leadership, and marketing in the honors college while cheering, launching The Big Blue Thrift Store, and serving as a dedicated member of Alpha Xi Delta. They first met on fraternity row while Alexis was on RA duty, checking in on the houses before the semester began. Campus was quiet, and only Luke and his roommate, Isaiah McCartney, were around. That evening, Alexis and Luke spent two hours talking and laughing, hitting it off instantly. A few days later, they ran into each other again—this time at Walmart. Alexis had forgotten something and was walking in just as Luke was walking out. She invited him to a gathering hosted by Alpha Xi Delta, and afterward, she was so nervous she told her sorority big, Gabby Turner, how unsure she was that he’d actually come. But despite having an early morning football meeting, Luke showed up. When he arrived, Alexis greeted him by taking his hat and welcoming him inside. Her sorority sisters couldn’t help but whisper and giggle—everyone noticed the chemistry. Later that night, the group moved to Lambda Chi Alpha, where Alexis and Luke spent more time together. Luke ended the night by walking Alexis and her friend Lauren Garan back to their dorm. The following week, Alpha Xi Delta and Lambda Chi Alpha hosted a joint social with desserts and board games. While playing Cards Against Humanity, Alexis and Luke kept laughing at the same cards—only to realize they had both played them. At the end of the night, Luke walked Alexis home again, and they talked for hours... still not exchanging numbers. One day, while walking with Luke’s fraternity brothers, Alexis gave them a rose after hearing that one of their grandmother’s had passed. What she didn’t know was that Logan McPherson would later place that rose on Luke’s bed and tell him, “That’s from Alexis. I told her you're asking her on a date.” Alexis hadn’t been told—but Luke asked anyway.Their first date was a picnic by the river, followed by dinner at Da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant. From that point on, their connection only grew—filled with laughter, shared interests, and a deep sense of comfort and joy. These days, Alexis and Luke’s love is rooted in the little things—long drives with good music, late-night conversations, and making each other laugh in every season of life. Whether they’re exploring new places, cooking dinner together, or simply enjoying a quiet evening in, their relationship is built on deep friendship, mutual respect, and unwavering support. As they prepare to say "I do" and honeymoon, they’re most excited about continuing to grow side by side—wherever life takes them.
