So they went to the same orientation and didn't meet at all. And then Austin, who convinced Alexis to go to Wichita state, told Alexis, "In my program there is this black guy I'm working with named Alex." In reply, Alexis said, "Just wait I'm going to marry him."

After being introduced, Alex pretty much ignored Alexis. Or at least she thought. After becoming friends, Alexis asked Alex out to an event for Delta Gamma. They went through a corn maze. Alex lead a group to safety, and that's where they became smitten with each other. They've been together ever since.

So I used to play pool (billiards) a lot during my freshmen year of college at Wichita State. I also was in the bowling program and made friends with Austin Strack who also bowled. While Austin, our other friends, and I played pool this girl Alexis (Austin's friend from Chanute) would hang around and occasionally play with us. Apparently she was dropping hints of being into me however, as she often now recounts, 'I was completely oblivious.' She asked me out to a corn maze for her sorority's date party and we had a great time. The next day, as I was about to text her, she texted me first, as apparently it had been too long to go without texting her after our first date (she still says it was). But even though I hadn't texted her all day, we still met up again and have stayed together since that day.
