Matthew and I met back in high school. Although some may say Matthew made the first move, I think we truly wouldn't have started talking if I never made a comment to him on the bowling bus. Matthew asked me on our first date to Friday's. He will tell you I ordered chicken fingers and fries but I know for a fact, I ordered the Jack Daniel's burger, so I seemed grown, lol. Most people would say he is pretty crazy for asking me to be his girlfriend a day before his birthday and the day before Valentine's day. We spent each year after growing our relationship and making memories. Here we are 8 years later and counting.

Matthew decided to propose when we went to Florida for a winter getaway during my break in rotations. He spent months before telling all our friends and family behind my back and planning. He did the traditional thing and brought my parents dinner. He even went as far as having a friend fly down to set everything up on the beach while we had dinner. Thanks Connor.

We spent the last couple months enjoying being engaged and planning for our wedding.
