What airport do we fly into?

Denver International Airport.

Do we need to rent a car?

I would suggest it, since there is so much to see around Colorado based on how much time you have! But, you can definitely get a shuttle service or private car that will take you directly to whichever Hotel you choose to stay at in Summit County.

Will I get altitude sickness?

There is always a possibility if you are coming from sea level. The best thing you can do is to stay hydrated before you arrive and during your stay. If you feel a pressure headache, drink more water! It is also good to know, 1 alcoholic beverage is equivalent to 2. It is a good idea to have a full glass of water after every alcoholic or caffeinated beverage. Be hydrated by Wedding day! The location is at 11,500ft above sea level. We will have EMT and Oxygen on site. (But, don't worry. These are just precautionary)

Visiting Breckenridge for a day?

There is a very low chance of getting Uber or Lyft in the mountains to go anywhere. If you choose not to rent a car, thats okay! Getting around to the surrounding towns (aka- Keystone, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge] there is a free bus via public transportation!

What weather to expect during summer in CO?

August has usually always been dry in the past, however, these last few years, there is a good chance of afternoon showers. This is common in the mountains during summer, but it usually passes after a few hours (fingers crossed !) August during the day, it will be hot, but not humid. Remember, being at high elevation means you are much closer to the sun and WILL get sunburnt! Bring sunscreen and a light coat for the nighttime. Once the sun sets beyond the mountains, it gets pretty chilly!

What if I am uncomfortable riding a ski lift up to the venue?

There shouldn't be anything to worry about, the only people allowed on the ski lift will be our guests. It will be closed off to the public. The lift will be slowed down, and even more so if requested. There is a safety bar on all lifts! If there is a reason why you feel you absolutely, cannot- physically or emotionally ride the ski lift to and from the venue, please contact myself or Joe ahead of time so we can make arrangements. There is only room for a limited amount of people to opt out of this experience, so reach out sooner than later about this concern.

Will there be cell coverage at the venue?

Yes! But, I suggest you enjoy the moment and the views :)

Why Colorado?

Joe and I have lived here for just about 10+ years now, this is our home. We were drawn here by the beauty of the mountains, the freedom to travel and to roam, to proximity to all different landscapes and for the overall love of this state and the get up and go lifestyle! We met each other here, with the same idea of what freedom means to us. Most of you have never experienced the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and we want to share our home with you. We chose this ski resort as our venue because it is infact, our home mountain and we want you to experience it and love it too! We want you to see, "Why Colorado."
