I (Aleyna) had just moved to the Oklahoma City area at the beginning of June 2022. I had just graduated nursing school and was starting my first job as a nurse at Mercy Hospital. I didn't have one friend that lived within an hour of me, so I decided to join a couple of online dating sites to meet some new people.

Jacob was on Hinge early in the morning one day and found my profile intriguing enough to send me a message. I thought he was a handsome guy, so I messaged him back. We've basically been inseparable since!

When I first moved here, I moved into a little rental house by myself. It was just me and my dog, Jagger. Jacob started driving to Edmond to take me on dates and hang out with me. After awhile, he started staying the night because it'd be too late for him to drive home. We never really had the discussion of "moving in together". Jacob just started bringing more of his stuff over each time he came to see me and then eventually just never left.

I took a long weekend off of work at the end of February to celebrate Valentine's Day and to just spend some quality time away together. Jacob and I decided to go to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I've been there before and loved it, so I wanted him to experience it too. We rented this cute & secluded cabin, quite literally in the "woods". On our last night there, we were on the back deck watching the sun set over the trees. Jacob just went behind me and got on one knee and asked me to marry him. We loved how intimate it was with there being nobody around. It was just the BEST day.
