Our Love Story
Of all places to meet the love of your life, Enrique and I met in Walmart during the initial scare of COVID. It took nearly two months for Enrique to summon the courage to not only ask others to approach me but for himself to see if i was single. Once he asked for my Facebook to message back and forth with, it took another two weeks for him to ask me out on a date as well as ask for my phone number. Which was funny for me because I was wondering what was taking him so long to just ask for my number to begin with. Our first date was a picnic in the park, where we talked for hours about literally anything and everything that one another wanted in terms of goals and aspirations in life. All i could remember thinking was that I felt comfortable and safe talking about such beautiful ideas with someone who not only shared the same desires but also wanted more out of life. Our second date was just around the corner from the first, which consisted of a night in with a killer movie along with both pizza and wine, my favorite trio. We spent most of that date cuddling, barley paying attention to the movie, lying in each others arms was a feeling that i never knew i needed. It was then that he asked me to be his and I lovingly accepted. Fast forward a year and we eventually moved in with one another and adopted our fur baby Simba. A means of slowly increasing our family size, and hes been the best addition to the family that anyone could ask for. Fast forward another two years, our third year anniversary, we went back to the same park where we had our first date and little did i know how magical that day would be. We took Simba with us because we were having a family picnic day with the same food from our favorite market. After we finished eating and bagan to walk, Ricky made me stop to sit at a bench to finsh the remains of what was my desert. Enrique began to worry me using simba as a distraction saying that simba got hurt, meanwhile Enrique was already down on one knee. I remember laughing so much because not only was my mouth filled with a pastry but I was spooked for a second from simba whom was also was on the verge of having zoomies during the proposal. The feeling of being engaged made us both feel so high that we didnt care that it started to rain, we practically danced in it.
